It helps to include the property postcode, what you can see, how long it has been there and whether the property is owned, rented or being purchased. Photographs are welcome and often save a visit: a picture of the affected wall, the ceiling above it and the outside of the same elevation usually tells us more than a long description.
If the postcode falls outside Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire or Peterborough we will say so straight away rather than take the enquiry. We do not cover London. Where the problem is plainly not one for a specialist, we will tell you that too, even though there is no work in it for us.
