Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why we store it, and how to change your mind.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies such as local storage work in the same way. This policy covers both, and applies to procuregroup.uk and our customer portal.
Cookies we always use (strictly necessary)
These are needed for the website to function, so they do not require your consent. We rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working website, and on the "strictly necessary" exemption in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
- Sign-in session cookie — keeps you signed in to your customer portal. Expires when your session ends or you sign out.
- Staff access cookie — controls access to the staff area at /staff.
- Your cookie choice — remembers whether you accepted measurement cookies, so we do not ask again. Stored for 12 months.
- Security and fraud prevention — used by our hosting and payment providers to keep the service safe.
Advertising measurement cookies (only with your consent)
If you select "Accept all", we load the Google tag for Google Ads (identifier AW-18161154624). It tells us how many people book an inspection after clicking one of our adverts, so we do not waste money advertising to the wrong people.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (a third party).
- Purpose: conversion measurement and advertising performance reporting. We record the booking reference, the inspection fee and the currency (GBP) so a booking is counted once only.
- Typical cookies: _gcl_au (up to 90 days) and Google advertising cookies set on google.com / googleadservices.com domains.
- Click identifiers: if you arrive from a Google advert, the link may contain a gclid, gbraid or wbraid value. Where you have consented we keep it for the duration of your visit so a booking can be matched to the advert you clicked.
- Retention: click and conversion data is retained by Google in line with its own retention settings, and by us for no longer than we need it for advertising reporting.
- International transfers: Google may process this data outside the UK under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Standard Contractual Clauses.
If you select "Essential only", these cookies are not set. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all advertising and analytics storage set to denied before the tag runs, together with advertising data redaction, so no advertising identifiers are written to your device unless you accept.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you or to follow you around unrelated websites.
- We do not treat visiting a page, clicking a button, starting a booking form or an unsuccessful payment as a conversion — only a genuinely confirmed appointment is counted.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, or with the button below. Withdrawing consent stops any further advertising cookies immediately. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
