Different construction types behave differently when they get wet, so the approach is matched to the building in front of us.
Wisbech sits in the north of Cambridgeshire on the River Nene, close to the boundary with Norfolk, in a landscape that is predominantly flat and low-lying fenland. That geography matters for property owners because ground levels in parts of the town and its surroundings are modest, drainage gradients are shallow, and the water table can sit closer to the surface than it does in more elevated parts of the county.
